This diecast model Shelby Cobra 427S/C Super Snake (1965) is Metallic Blue and features working steering, suspension, wheels and also opening bonnet with engine, boot, doors.The Shelby registry indicates only two 1966 "Super Snake" Cobras were built, one of which was destroyed in an accident. On 13th January 2007 it fetched $5.5 million at the Barrett-Jackson auction, making it the most expensive American car ever sold. The Snake is powered by a twin-supercharged, 800 horse power, 427 engine with a 3-speed automatic gearbox. Built by Carroll Shelby just to see how fast he could make a Cobra go, it was his personal car for many years. Bet it was a tad twitchy in the wet! 1:18 scale (approx. 23cm long)
